VIDEOS: Top 20 Videos of 2011 [Part I]

Yea Yea Yea, its time to close out and open a new year. For a mediocre year in mainstream artist (This year spotlight  was stolen by newcomers and underground artist.) we struggled to come up with 20 videos that didn't make it to your nearest virtual dumpster. Check out our list and be sure to share your favorites in the comments below.

20. Moon - Bjork

Never to let down vocally or visually, the Iceland native shows us how to be epic in a low budget film. One artist comes to mind that should take some pointers… "OH BABY!"
19. Our Day Will Come - Amy Winehouse

An amazing tribute to the late great Amy Winehouse. Its very rare that you see the treatment of fallen stars art remain intact (see: Michael Jackson after death discography). Well done the estate of Ms. Winehouse, may you rest in peace.

18. Only Wanna Give It To You  - Elle Varner ft. J. Cole

Jazmine Sullivan better dump that retirement crap and hit the studios quick because we have a substitute for our Sully Withdrawls.

17. Otis - The Throne

Classic video treatment rehashing the 90's in a 2000ish sorta way. Only one thing got this video on our list. Cutting up a Maybach valued at more that six figures then auctioning it off for a good cause? Pretty dope, huh?

16. Lay It On Me - Kelly Rowland

No stranger to anyone unless they live in a cave, former Destiny Child member Kelly Rowland has spent most of 2011 cultivating and building her own brand. This "Grown Woman" singer sure knows how to crank up the sexy. Landing her on our countdown at #16

15. Late Nights & Early Mornings - Marsha Ambrosius

One part of the legendary duo Floetry took us all to bed with her debut album, Late Nights & Early Mornings. With a song receiving video treatment of the same name, Marsha remains a winner in our book.

14. Smoking Gun - Daley

Daley's voice alone to a screen of lyrics would still make our countdown, but he was so kind to give us visual treatment to his latest single from his free EP. This guys is really going somewhere in 2012.

13. Run The World - Beyonce

Even though she is currently prego with a lump full of Jigga we wouldn't be fair not to mentionKing B.  Known for low budget videos, green screens, and stolen concepts, it was nice to see HBIC pull a couple of stings for her revolutionary based chant "Run The World" (Girls)

12. Dance (A$$) Big Sean Remix ft. Nicki Minaj

We love Big Sean here at Mixnority, but this video was all about that A$$, A$$, A$$ of new RaPop Kween Nicki Minaj.

11. No Light, No Light - Florence and the Machine

The ever so elegant, airy, and soulful Florence Welch has been know for her artistic flair since her video debut of "Dog Days Are Over" . When will we see this collabo with Drake - Ms. Welch?

Stay Tuned to find out who made number 1!
